Men slaughter goats for a traditional meal to be held at a church conference in the heart of Stellenbosch. The goats must still be slaughtered on the city outskirts, in Kayamandi, but the ritual fest has claimed its place in the city. A traditional tribal dinner has found it place in Christianity.
During an economic recession and with 40% unemployment, and man earns a full days wage over a pool game. Outside children win and lose 50c and 20c coins over a card game.
These are aspects of Africa in constant motion, the effects from a cause, a constant negotiation of circumstance and opportunity.
